Wedding and Utah Trip

We went to Utah the beginning of May for my brother Christian and Lanée’s wedding. It was a fun and wonderful day! They make a cute couple and are perfect for each other, we are so happy for them and glad to have Lanée as part of the family now! The wedding, luncheon and reception all turned out beautiful!    The Newlyweds!

 

Her dress was gorgeous!Beautiful tulips on Temple Square  The Reception The Jensen Family    They had dancing at the reception and Kennedy was loving every minute of it!  She constantly wanted to be dancing and every time a song ended she’d say “more, more”, I wish I had it on video!

Most of the rest of our trip was sadly spent in jammies and sleeping! Kennedy and I got sick before we even flew out to UT, and we both got worse half-way through the trip so we finally decided to go to the doctor. We found out Kennedy had an ear infection and Bronchitis and I had Pneumonia! No fun! Grandma and Grandpa were troopers and took good care of both of us though! We did get to see some cousins at the beginning and the end when we were feeling better and at least we made it to the wedding! Silly Kennedy wearing grandma’s hat and shoes  Poor Girl- at least she got a lot of movie and binky time since she was sick :) Playing piggies with grandpa. She usually doesn’t sit still in one place, you could definitely tell she was sick when she’d actually sit in your lap! Swinging with cousins Allie and Bree We got to spend a few days with little Ollie and his parents too! This is how she had to eat every day- with the cabbage patch doll in the high chair right next to her!

Even though we were sick we still had a good time. We are just hoping next time we visit Utah we will all be healthy!

Japanese Tea Gardens

We’ve been wanting to check this place out for awhile now and we finally made it over there yesterday evening.  It was an enjoyable Sunday walk through the beautiful gardens as a family and a great end to a wonderful Father’s Day!  We thought we’d get some good pictures of Kennedy, but she wasn’t really in a smiling mood, there were too many things to see, but she’s cute just the same!

Lethal Luau

We had some friends over last weekend for a Murder Mystery Dinner Party.  It was our first time hosting one and we had a blast!  We had fun decorating the house Hawaiian and making kalua pork, rice, caramelized maui onions, macademia nut cookies, smoothies, grilled pineapple, and fresh fruit! Everyone really got into their characters and it was a fun night full of laughs and accusations!  Rip Tide and Birdie Putt Les Baggs and Leilani Joey Breakers and Holly Day Chief Honikaua Wiki-Wiki and Nadia Seymour Some of the characters had to demonstrate things throughout the game to try and convince us they weren’t the murderer, so here’s the funny videos.

Bluebonnets

The Texas winter was colder and wetter than normal this year, so there are a ton of wildflowers this spring and they are beautiful!! We couldn’t resist doing a little photo shoot in the Texas bluebonnets…along with everyone else in San Antonio.  You see people pulled off the side of the road all the time with camera and child in hand, it’s kind of funny. Warning: picture overload ahead!At least we got one smiling picture :)      Kennedy wasn’t too fond of the bluebonnets the first trip and was quickly done with pictures, so we attempted a 2nd trip to get the “perfect” picture of her surrounded by bluebonnets with her actually looking up and smiling at us. As you can see it didn’t quite work, but we still liked these ones. This is the reaction we got most of the time when we tried getting a picture of just her in the bluebonnets. Easter Hoppenings!
