We went to a pumpkin patch last night as a family, they were a bit low on pumpkins since we went so close to Halloween, but we still found one. Kennedy had a great time wandering around, talking to and slapping all the pumpkins!

Trip to Utah!
Kennedy and I were able to go to Utah for 8 days last week. We had a great time and kept quite busy! We started out in Ogden at a baby shower for my cousin, then spent a few days in St. George with family, then back up north for two cousins’ weddings. We crammed a lot in and loved seeing lots of family and friends.

It was fun being back in Orem, visiting with people in our old neighborhood and catching up with friends and family, wish we could’ve seen more of you, maybe next time.

Catch up
This post is kind of a hodge podge of pictures from the last month. It’s been a busy one, but good as we were moving into our new house (pictures to come), unpacking, getting organized, and having Grandma Barb here for a visit.
Kennedy is at such a fun stage right now, learning and doing new things each day! She’s always amazing us by all the things she does. She signs lots of things which has been very helpful for us! She signs: more, eat, drink, milk, all done, kiss, sleep, please, baby and ball. She can point to her nose, hair, toes and mouth if you ask her where they are at. She also says yes, no, Jesus (so cute), nose, mom, dad, hi, bye, baby and dog. She says woof woof (she’s really good at this one and loves dogs!!), meows like a cat, can gobble like a turkey, and makes the monkey sound. She loves all kinds of animals and loves looking at all her animal books over and over again! She really loves any book though and could sit and look at books for a long time.Kennedy thinks it’s time to take a break from moving and do a little boogie boardin!
Having fun playing in the packing boxes with dad

Our Little Patient
The day before my family came into town Kennedy started not feeling very well, at first we thought she was teething, but then it seemed to turn into a cold. The evening my family got here Kennedy was having trouble breathing so we had to take her into the Emergency Room. I guess they don’t take respiratory problems lightly, because we were in a room and had nurses surrounding us in a matter of a minutes. They weren’t sure exactly what was wrong, but they ran a bunch of tests on the poor girl. They drew her blood, gave her an iv, took x-rays and gave her lots of breathing treatments. Right off they found out she had ear infections in both ears and was dehydrated, but they weren’t sure why she was having trouble breathing. After all the tests came back, they ruled out pneumonia and the flu but at 1 am they decided they needed to keep her over night to keep monitoring her. She improved a lot over the next day and they released her the following afternoon. It was scary stuff, but we are glad they took good care of her and that she is doing much better! We sure think she made a cute little patient though! Once they unhooked her from her iv, monitors and all the cords and she could roam around free she was one happy camper and back to her normal self again!
They still aren’t exactly sure why she was having trouble breathing, but they treated her for asthma, I guess asthma and allergies are very common in San Antonio. But they can’t officially say she has asthma unless she has another episode, so we are just hoping it was a one time thing and we don’t have to deal with it again! We feel so grateful that she is ok and healthy!
Poor girl :(
She’s enjoying the freedom from cords!
It’s kind of hard to put something in your mouth when you can’t bend your arm huh Kennedy?!
Although it was frustrating this happened while my family was here visiting, we feel very blessed that they were here to give us support during the whole thing! Kennedy had fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa at the hospital and just before we were released she fell asleep (not surprising since she didn’t sleep much that night or day) in Grandpa Jim’s arms. So cute!
We love our ‘sweetness’ and are so glad she is feeling better!

Jensen Family Reunion!
My family came to visit us in Texas for a few days last week. It was so fun having them here and showing them around San Antonio! We went downtown and saw the Alamo, Riverwalk, took the rivercruise and enjoyed a yummy mexican meal. We played lots of games, enjoyed Texas bbq, spent some time in the hospital, (more on that later) relaxed and just enjoyed being together. The Alamo
Reminiscing of old times. My family lived in Texas for about four years when we were younger and took a very similar picture here on these steps. (Except no balloons this time…that’s why we look like goofs acting like little kids and “holding balloons”) We should’ve looked at the original picture right before to get it a little more accurate though.

Just outside Casa Rio, a really yummy mexican restaurant we ate at along the Riverwalk.
On Saturday Gma Rose got her dream and got to have Kennedy to herself all day while the rest of us went to Schlitterbahn Waterpark, which is ranked one of the top waterparks in the world! There were tons of slides and it was lots of fun!
From Wikipedia: “The New Braunfels park now boasts over 3 miles of inner tube rides, 7 water playgrounds for children, uphill water coasters, 17 water slides, and the world's first surfing machine”
