Cute Stuff

   Umm, can you get the camera out of my face, I’m playing here!                                Wow, so many things to play with!            This was  Kennedy’s first experience with an exersaucer Kennedy got to play with her 2nd cousin Beth (they are only 9 days apart). It was fun to watch them together.                                          Aren’t they adorable?!!

Rice Adventures

Kennedy started eating solids last week. She’s still not so sure about the whole thing, but slowly getting the hang of it.  We sure love this little girl, she brings us lots of happiness!

6 Months

Kennedy turned 6 months old last week. It may be cliché, but it really does seem like yesterday that she was born. To celebrate, we splurged and blew up a balloon for her to play with, supervised, of course.

Holiday Happenings

I'm a little slow at blogging about our holidays, and it seems so long ago, but I still wanted to post the pictures. Sorry it's huge!

We were able to spend a whole week with our families down south and had a great time.

We spent a few days before Christmas and Christmas morning with my family up at the cabin in Pine Valley. It was so pretty up there with all the snow!

  As you can see there was a lot of snow; it took the boys an hour to clear a path so we could drive in. It also snowed a ton up there Christmas day (luckily we just missed it driving to St. George),  but it took my family 6+ hours to dig out to the side road and then to the main road when they left the next day.

It was so fun watching Kennedy open presents, the ribbon was definitely her favorite part and she actually did pretty good ripping the paper too.

We spent Christmas afternoon and a few days after with the Johnsons and had a great time.

This is our cute niece Allie, she is such a good cousin to Kennedy!

I thought this picture was funny, Spencer gave Kennedy a        mohawk and was letting her play with the MarioKart wheel.

                        

We spent New Year's Eve with the Vaughans at the traditional Game Day and had a fun time.  Then we spent New Years Day through the weekend with Zak's family up at a cabin in Park City. We had a blast snow skiing/boarding (thanks to the grandparents for watching Kennedy), going down the alpine coaster, eating, playing games, relaxing, watching the bowl game, playing Rockband and just having fun together!

One of the mornings Arie was jumping back and forth from the ottoman to the couch and Kennedy was watching and thought it was hilarious, she was laughing really hard and it was super cute! I wish I would've got it on video, but at least I have a picture.

 

I love this picture of all the girls playing with and talking to Kennedy!  She sure loves her cousins.

I know I've been bad about blogging lately, I'll try to catch up soon on what we've been doing the past month. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

And lots of other things and people too, there’s just too much to list.

Some of you who are long-time viewers might have noticed that I’ve been conspicuously absent from the blog in recent months. Well I assure you that I’ve been using my time in matters almost as weighty as  blogging.

For some cosmic reason, most companies that recruit from my major like to do their interviewing about 50 years in advance. So this fall I’ve been putting a lot of effort into all that goes with getting a real job. After seemingly endless hours answering and asking question after question in interviews and information sessions, then pouring over every detail about the companies that are crazy enough to hire me, we’ve made a decision.

No, there are no real mountains, and yes it’s a bit far from family. Trust me, we really did consider those and many other facts, but there are a lot of positive benefits that come with living in Texas.

After all that hoopla, we decided to go with the company that I didn’t really have to interview with. So we’ll be going back to San Antonio where I will be working at USAA. Yipee! We are grateful to even have a job to take considering the state of the economy, so three cheers for Texas!
