Feeding the Ducks

We went and fed the ducks and had a picnic with our good friends Allie and Kaylee before they left for their extended trip to D.C.  We’d never been to this park before so it was fun to go check it out.

The ducks were pretty ugly, but the girls loved feeding them!

I know these pictures are all very similar, but I just loved all their different facial expressions and had to post a few.  They are so silly together and have so much fun and these pictures show it!  Kennedy sure misses them and asks about them everyday!

Planting Flowers

Our Family Night lesson on Monday was on the creation, so afterwards Kennedy helped daddy plant some flowers for our activity. She loved digging, watering, seeing all the worms, planting and just playing in the dirt.

What a good little helper She decided that her little shovel wasn’t doin’ the job ;)

I sure love watching these two together!

Bay of Play

Sea World opened up again the end of February, and along with it a new Sesame Street attraction called Bay of Play. All the new stuff it has is pretty neat.  They have 4 new rides, a big splash pad area, and an awesome net/rope jungle gym area.  The Sesame Street characters do a show and also walk around during the day so the kids can say hi. Kennedy loves it!  They had Great Day SA (like Good Things Utah) out filming their show a few weeks ago for the big grand opening and we got to be part of the audience and even made it on the show a few times!

I was impressed how well she did climbing through this!Kennedy loves seeing all the Sesame Street characters and giving them hugs! We will definitely be spending a lot of time here this spring/summer!

Wicked Night!

Zak and I went to see Wicked with some of our friends the end of February and had such a fun time!  I’d seen Wicked before in NY with Zak’s family, but this was Zak’s first time so I was excited to go together! We loved it and it was just as good as the first time!

The Majestic Theatre is really neat and everything is so amazing and detailed inside.  It was so fun having a night out on the town, I feel like I’m in a different city…(almost like NY) when we go downtown and go to this fancy theatre! Aubrey, me and Alecia

Zak, Tyler and Dave- The boys were thrilled when we told them we needed them to smile for a picture!  Ha!

We went to dinner before the show at an Italian restaurant downtown called La Focaccia, it was fun going with friends and enjoying a nice relaxing meal together. Such a fun evening with friends!

Yee Haw!

We love the dollar days at the San Antonio Rodeo and always make sure to go!  And it just happened that the day we decided to go my aunt and uncle were there too.  My uncle is the chair of the Ogden Days Rodeo so he was invited to come down and check out the San Antonio Rodeo for a few days. It was so fun to meet up with them and spend a few hours together, Kennedy loved Camille and had a great time!  Now whenever she sees the letter C, she says “It’s a C for cookie monster and Camille!” 

  This cowgirl is ready for the Rodeo! I LOVE her pink boots (a sweet $2 garage sale find!) I wish I had some of my own!

I hope her curls never go away, we sure love them!Remember Kennedy’s first Merry-go-Round experience last year? Well, it was quite the opposite this year. She wanted to go on it first thing and loved it, so we rode it a few times! She also was big enough this year to go on the animal train ride that she really wanted to go on last year. She would wave and smile at Camille each time we’d go past her on the rides.

She came up to me a few days after the rodeo and said, “Mom, Camille is nice, Camille is fun!” :)

The Petting Zoo-Kennedy liked all the animals, but would get a little nervous when they would come right up to her face.  So she would usually only pet them with our help.

We ended the night with $1 Cotton Candy, she was in heaven!

This is how Kennedy felt about the Rodeo. She gives it a yee haw! We had a great time and we’ll definitely be back again next year!

Picnic at Daddy’s Work

The weather has been in the 70’s lately and perfect!  We decided to take advantage of it and go have a picnic at Zak’s work on his lunch break.  USAA’s campus is beautiful and huge, so we always love being there.

Daddy brought Kennedy some Cheetos and treats from work. She was SO excited and was even nice and shared some with us.

Kennedy is such an observant little girl, we can’t get anything past her! Seriously! She recognizes the USAA symbol anywhere and whenever she sees it she makes sure to tell me, “Look it’s daddy’s work mom!”  And then it’s followed with a “caw, caw, caw” for the eagle.

Look at that attitude! Ha!

Kennedy loves going to daddy’s work and she loves her daddy so it was a fun time!
